Do I own the songs and artwork I generate using Udio?

We don't claim any ownership over the content you generate using Udio in response to your inputs. See Udio’s Terms of Service for more detailed information about ownership of the content generated using Udio.

Can I re-record, sample, or otherwise repurpose the content I generate using Udio?

Yes, as long as the content does not contain copyrighted material that you do not own or have explicit permission to use.

You own the output. It’s your responsibility to review and adhere to the terms of other services that you might wish to share your songs on.

Do I have to provide attribution to Udio?

If you made the song on a free account: YES

If you weren't a subscriber at the time you created the song -- even if you're a subscriber today -- you must indicate that the content was generated using Udio.

You can do this by including a credit, notice or other indicator (e.g., in the track title, in the credits section, etc.) that prominently indicates that the content was generated using Udio. For example, you could include “Created with Udio” as part of the artist name or track title in the track’s metadata. Each situation and type of use is a little different, and we are flexible with exactly how you do it, but generally speaking the attribution to Udio should be in a form and manner that is reasonable and practical in light of how the content is being used.

If you made the song while a paid subcriber: NO

Paid subscribers of the platform are not required to provide attribution, but we appreciate it if you do.

See Udio’s Terms of Service for more detailed information about the usage rules for content generated using Udio.
