Understanding & reporting bugs
Understanding & reporting bugs
Updated over 2 weeks ago

We know it's frustrating when you encounter bugs, and we welcome you to let us know when you encounter 'em!

You can do this by activating the Messenger at the bottom right and selecting "Bug report."

But before you do that, it's important to recognize the difference between bugs and, well, not-bugs.

These sort of things are bugs

  • You're unable to scroll or click on something you could scroll or click on before

  • You select our 130-second model, but it creates a 32 second song

  • Text gets cut off

These things are maybe bugs, but probably temporary

...so please consider just checking back a few minutes or an hour later

  • You get a "Backend error" or "Generation error" when clicking Create

  • You get an error message when trying to load the Udio.com site

And these are frustrations, but not bugs

We use Udio every day ourselves, so we know about these things and are working to improve them!

  • Udio creates a song in a genre different than the one you requested. You can try manual mode, but sometimes we may just not have enough good training data in that genre or style.

  • Udio doesn't follow other aspects of your prompt, settings, or lyrics commands (such as wrongly singing in your 'instrumental' number, or not following lyrics commands like [female singer] or [chorus], etc.)

  • The singer vocalizes in a made-up languager ("Simlish"). While sometimes this can be fun, we know other times it's... not. Your best bet is to try editing or cropping-and-trimming, etc.
