Remixing lets you put a new spin on your music by introducing subtle or major changes. You can even experiment with different genres to transform your track into something completely fresh.

  1. Go to your Library.

  2. Select the song you want to remix and click the "Remix" button.

In the Create window, you'll find remix settings:

    • On the left, you'll see your original track.

    • On the right, you'll find the "Variance" slider, which controls how much the remix will differ from the original.

💡 If your song is 0:32 or longer, an additional "Model" option appears. You can choose whether to remix the full track or just a specific section. If you select udio-32, only the chosen 32 second segment will be remixed.

  3. Customize your Remix:

    • Adjust the "Variance" Slider:

      • Lower values make small tweaks while keeping the original song’s structure.

      • Higher values introduce bigger changes - at the maximum setting, the remix may sound completely different.

    • Modify the Song’s Details (Optional):

      • By default, the remix keeps the original song’s prompt.

      • You can tweak the prompt or write a new one to experiment with new styles, instruments, or even genre crossovers.

    • Change the Lyrics (Optional):

      • If you want different lyrics, you may need to set the "Variance" slider higher for the changes to take effect.

⚠️ If you try to remix a section shorter than 32 seconds, the remix will still be 32 seconds long, with any unused time left silent. You can trim this later.

💡 Try generating multiple remixes with the same settings - each one will be unique!
